Held at picturesque Muri Lagoon, the sprint events are always keenly contested but most importantly, a huge amount of fun!! The feedback over the years has shown that crews look at the sprint day as a fun day, so this year we decided to have a programme change for the first time in 8 years and get all the serious racing out the way during the week, so we can have more fun than ever on the last day of Vaka Eiva!
All crews will participate in the 500m races in the morning and then in the afternoon, then the afternoon Steinlager Muri Mingler begins when different crews will team up together – all ages, all genders, all countries for our ‘fun races’ The World Famous “pop the ama” competition will take place later in the afternoon, so start practicing now!! Steinlager will be offering great spot prizes throughout the Muri Mingler.
For the first time we will also include the Pacific Resort Stand Up Paddle Challenge Relay - test your balance and team work skills in this fun relay with Travis Grant, Australias #1 paddle boarder.

There will be a string band, Cultural performances and a couple of surprises followed by dancing the rest of the night away! For those leaving on the flights on Friday night, there is an hourly bus service to take you back to your accommodation before you head out to the airport. Have a blast, but be safe – no drinking and driving.
What to do next.....
